ABOUT NEXT GEN RUGBY COACHING 2025

2025 – “Time is the only currency you spend without ever knowing your balance. Use it wisely”

Next Gen Rugby Coaching has been under the leadership of Michael Broad since 2017. Michael took over from Dan McKellar (former Wallaby Assistant Coach) who led the company with distinction and diligence since 2013. Next Gen Rugby Coaching would like to thank all players, parents, clubs and schools who have supported the work of our professional staff in delivering a rugby product that has been so positively reinforced.

To kick off 2025, Next Gen Rugby has, (for the first time), been engaged by St. Patrick’s to run a “Welcome to SPC Rugby” in the last week of the summer holidays for all Year 5 students at the College. Next Gen Rugby Coaching will be running our Confidence in Contact Program at Padua College and St. Patrick’s College in Term 1. Next Gen’s first clinic for 2025 will be its Preseason Clinic on consecutive Sundays (February 9 and 16) at Riverside Rugby Club. For more information regarding this clinic, please visit the Program page (Clinics) on the web site in early January 2025.

Next Gen Rugby Coaching will hold its annual Easter holiday coaching clinic in 2025 at Gibson Park, Kedron (April 7, 8 & 9)Gibson Park will also host our June/July holiday clinic (June 30, July 1 & 2). As in previous years, these two clinics will be limited to a maximum of 200 registrations – both boys and girls.

Next Gen Rugby Coaching will also continue its association with a number of school rugby programs in 2025 – namely Gregory Terrace, Padua College, Toowoomba Grammar School, Ipswich Grammar School, Brisbane Grammar School, St. Patrick’s College, North Lakes College and All Hallows School.

One of the most enjoyable and rewarding programs that Next Gen Rugby Coaching offers is the One on One specialist coaching. Players of all ages and ability levels have taken the opportunity to avail themselves to the quality coaching that the company offers. Some players have joined forces to provide an even more challenging training environment by having 2/3 players working together. It is obvious that the parents of these children are convinced of the benefits of allowing their children to work with our team which is passionate about passing on our many years of experience and knowledge at the grassroots level as well as the elite level. The young players using the 1 on 1 sessions start to develop skills and training habits at a young age that we feel are crucial in their rugby formation. It was terrific to be able to continue to assist so many through our 1 on 1 program (including a number of Touch Football, Oztag and Rugby League players) with their running, agility, evasion and passing skills – an area of coaching that is expanding rapidly.

Next Gen Rugby Coaching is a company that provides quality, experienced adult coaching for rugby players and coaches of all levels. Whether you are the coach of the local junior Under 8s team that requires more coaching tools and resources; a player/coach who wants to improve or an aspiring young player wanting to play the game at the highest level, Next Gen Rugby Coaching is here to help.

If you feel that our team at Next Gen Rugby Coaching can assist your club or school, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss our services in more detail. Please contact Michael Broad at michael@nextgenrugby.com.au or phone Michael on 0451 267 391.
