Michael Broad and his team from Next Gen Rugby Coaching have ben engaged by Toowoomba Grammar School for the last 5 years to run their outstanding “Confidence in Contact” program across our secondary school rugby teams from U13 to Open at the C, D and E level.

This program is critical in ensuring that all TGS rugby players are “Rugby Ready” for trials – especially in the area of the collisions in the game. The key areas targeted were Set Piece (Scrum & Lineout); Tackle Technique and Breakdown.

It has been a very important part of the TGS rugby program in that the players outside the A/B program, are provided with the highest quality coaching and instruction from some of the best rugby educators within SE Queensland.

Toowoomba Grammar School can not speak highly enough of the standard of professionalism shown by the highly experienced Next Gen Coaching staff and highly recommend them to any school or club that needs assistance in any part of the game.

Michael Broad and his team from Next Gen Rugby Coaching have ben engaged by Ipswich Grammar for the last 2 years to run a specific PSS program across our secondary school rugby teams.

The key areas targeted were Set Piece (Scrum & Lineout); Kicking Technique & Skills; Halfback Technique & Skills and Running Lines. The preparation, programming, instruction and the development of the players in their care was first class.

Both the IGS players and coaches were able to develop a wonderful rapport with the Next Gen coaches which allowed for positive, open discussion and understanding.

Ipswich Grammar were thrilled with the quality of coaching and mentoring provided by the Next Gen Rugby Coaching staff and highly recommend them to any other school or club looking for “that edge” in their own rugby program.

It’s been a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding season. Pete and I were talking earlier about what a great bunch of young men there are in this squad and how they have been a pleasure to coach. They will go far.

In particular I’d like to thank you for giving your dedication and wisdom to the group, coaches included. I’ve genuinely looked forward to each training session and game day as there’s a real sense of purpose and progression. I certainly feel I have developed under your leadership and guidance. It has been a fantastic experience and I am a much better coach as a result.
